Hospital accreditation has been consolidated as an important institutional governance instrument aimed at qualifying health services, patient safety, and strengthening evidence-based management mechanisms. Despite the growing adoption of quality certification models in the hospital context, gaps persist in understanding their effective contribution to meeting users' health needs, especially from the perspective of the right to health and person-centered management. In this context, the present study aims to analyze the contributions of accreditation in hospital health management to meeting users' health needs. This is a qualitative research, developed through an integrative literature review, with a survey carried out in the SciELO, LILACS, Virtual Health Library (BVS), and Google Scholar databases, covering scientific productions published between 2013 and 2026. The results show that accreditation promotes the standardization of care and management processes, strengthens the organizational culture of quality, expands the use of performance indicators, stimulates the adoption of clinical and administrative protocols, and favors the continuous improvement of services. It was also observed that accredited institutions have a greater capacity to organize care flows, reduce risks, qualify decision-making, and respond more effectively to health needs related to access, comprehensiveness of care, patient safety, and user satisfaction. It is concluded that accreditation constitutes a relevant mechanism of hospital governance, contributing to the effectiveness of the fundamental right to health through the promotion of management practices guided by quality, efficiency, transparency, and institutional sustainability.Downloads
